SP 6018
This loco was built in 1/1950 with EMD construction number 9317 as the only member of an intended thirty unit order which was cut back considerably for an unknown reason to a single unit. She was built as a dual engined E8 A-unit, SP's only example of the model. She was painted in the SP's Daylight orange and red.
At some point in the late 1950's or possibly early 1960's she was repainted into the newly adopted grey and red "bloody nose" scheme for all locomotives regardless of passenger or freight assignment.
She was retired on 08/21/1967 and sold to GE for scrap on 10/26/1967.
