This loco was built in 1/1950 with Baldwin construction number 74692 as the only cabless example of this model on the SP system.
She was renumbered to SP 5500 xx/xx/195x and again renumbered to SP 4900 in 09/01/1955. She was assigned number SP 4900 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She was retired on 05/20/1969 and sold 06/13/1969 to EMD and scrapped by Associated Metals at Benicia, CA.
