SP 9020
This loco was built in 9/1964 with ALCO construction number 3374-03. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on the front and a single sealed beam headlight on the rear.
These locomotives were Alco's response to SP's experimentation with hydrualic drive locomotives built by Krauss-Maffei. They were not very successful, as the model was not repeated and the locomotives were all scrapped by 1973.
She was renumbered SP 9152 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She was again renumbered in 5/1969 to SP 9802.
She (along with the other two DH643's) was sold on 08/21/1973 to Chrome Crankshaft and were scrapped by Associated Metals at Sacramento, CA.
