SP B39-8 page
This page is dedicated to SP's fleet of GE B39-8 locomotives. The SP rostered 40 B39-8's. All units were for parent SP and were delivered in grey and red "bloody nose" paint with low front hoods. They were frequent visitors to the Lafayette Division, so I got to see many of them operate. The very similar B40-8 units were numbered just above them and were all for subsidiary Cotton Belt.
