This loco was built in 9/1971 with EMD serial number 37854. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP40.

She became UP 690 in the early 1980's when UP merged with the Western Pacific.

She was sold for continued service and became CMNW 3025.

She became WC 3025.
