This loco was built in 9/1971 with EMD serial number 37852. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP40.
She was renumbered to WP 1976 and repainted into a special red, white and blue scheme to commemorate the American Bicentennial.
She was renumbered back to WP 3541 and repainted back to WP standard colors after the Bicentennial.
She was sold for continued service and became CMNW 3023.
She became WC 3023.
