This loco was built in 8/1971 with EMD serial number 37843. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP40.

She became UP 680 in the early 1980's when UP merged with the Western Pacific.

She was sold for continued service and became CMNW 3015.

She became WC 3015.
