This loco was built in 4/1980 with EMD serial number 786277-3. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP40-2.
She became UP 907 in the early 1980's when UP merged with the Western Pacific.
She became MP 907 in the mid 1980's when UP re-assigned some ex Western Pacific GP40's and GP40-2's to the MP in yellow paint with MISSOURI PACIFIC lettering.
She was renumbered back to UP 907 at some point.
