CH-100-261 Covered Hoppers:

These 2-bay, 115-ton covered hoppers were built by Thrall (Job 953) in 1-2/1997. They featured 3250 ft3 capacity. They were assigned to class CH-100-261.
It is unclear at this time why the class designation jumped so high at this time as cars built in the same time frame featured much lower numbered designations.
