These 40'-6", automobile box cars were built by AC&F in 1947. They featured double Camel sliding doors for a 14' opening, steel semi-lightweight construction, Evans type F auto loaders and 4106 ft3 capacity.

Twenty-three of these cars were modified in 1965 by increasing their height by 1'-9". They were placed in various UP 518*** series' as above. As rebuilt, their capacity was increased to 4800 ft3 and it appears that cushioned underframes were added.
