T&P 710400-710599						(to MP 710400-710599)

These 3-bay, 100 ton, covered hopper cars were built by ACFI in 11/1963 as cylindrical Center Flo hoppers. They featured 3960 ft3 capacity. Note that they featured three compartments (1430 ft3 ends; 1115 ft3 center) with two welded-on discharge gates per compartment. Hence, they are sometimes referred to as 6-bay cars, which is not entirely correct. They also featured a built-out bracing arrangement on each end, unlike some other MP cars which featured a simplified end structure.
