This loco was built in 2/1952 with EMD serial number 15851. She was built as a passenger engine equipped with a steam generator. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all Frisco GP7's, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She was purchased by the ICG and assigned interim number ICG 80 and placed into active service until she could enter the Paducah rebuild program.
She was rebuilt by ICGs Paducah, KY Shops to a GP8 and became ICG 7720 in 5/1975.
