This loco was built in 4/1964 with EMD serial number 28917. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight between her number boards and on her rear end and rooftop air resevoirs for increased fuel capacity.
She became BN 2556.
She was rebuilt by BN into a GP39M and renumbered BN 2883.
