This loco was rebuilt in 7/1982 from GP9 SCL 1034 (ex SAL 1960) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 22631 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4644.

She became CSXT 1744.

She was retired on 08/09/1991 and became USAX 4635.
