This loco was rebuilt in 6/1982 from GP9 SCL 1003 (ex SAL 1903) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 21072 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4643.

She became CSXT 1743.

She was retired on 02/18/1993.
