This loco was rebuilt in 4/1981 from GP9 SCL 1036 (ex SAL 1962) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 22633 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4629.

She became CSXT 1729.

She was retired on 01/13/1992.
