This loco was rebuilt in 12/31/1979 from GP7 CRR 902 by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 12297 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4618.

She became CSXT 1718.

She was retired on 01/13/1993.
