This loco was rebuilt in 10/02/1979 from GP9 SCL 1044 (ex SAL 1972) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 22643 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4614.

She became CSXT 1714.

She was retired on 01/13/1993.
