This loco was built in 10/1956 with EMD serial number 22628. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP9s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 1031.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 10/1981 and became SCL 4634.
She became SBD 4634.
She became CSXT 1734.
