This loco was built in 11/1955 with EMD serial number 21513. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP9s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.

She was wrecked on 07/13/1966 at Cherryvale, NC and scrapped on site.
