This loco was built in 11/1955 with EMD serial number 21077. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP9s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.

She became SCL 1008.

She became SBD 1008.

She was retired and presumed scrapped.
