This loco was built in 11/1955 with EMD serial number 21071. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP9s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 1055.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 5/1980 and became SCL 4622.
She became SBD 4622.
She became CSXT 1722.
