This loco was built in 9/1952 with EMD serial number 17376. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.

She became SCL 984.

She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 10/1979 and became SCL 4701.

She became SBD 4701.

She became CSXT 1747.

She was retired on 01/13/1993.
