This loco was built in 2/1952 with EMD serial number 15539. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 975.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 6/1982 and became SCL 4796.
She became SBD 4796.
She became CSXT 1842.
She was retired on 02/18/1993, sold and became PDRR 1842.
