This loco was built in 4-6/1950 with EMD serial number 11602. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7's, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 906.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 9/1980 and became SCL 4733.
She became SBD 4733.
She became CSXT 1779.
She was retired on 09/29/1992.
