This loco was built in 4/1950 with EMD serial number 11499. She was built as a dual service engine equpped for both freight and passenger operation. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7's, she did not feature dynamic brakes.

She became SCL 888.
