This loco was built in 5-8/1966 with EMD serial number 31787 and frame number 7897-3. She was built as a freight engine, model GP40. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. She was equipped with dynamic brakes.

She became SCL 1533.

She became SBD 6689.

She became CSXT 6689.

She left the CSXT roster at some point and was rebuilt as a GP40M-2 by MK and sold to the SP as SP 7113.
