P&LE 31000-31390					(stretched from NYC 40' box cars in 1970)

These 50'-6", 55-ton box cars were rebuilt and stretched by Despatch Shops from NYC 40' box cars in 1970. As rebuilt, they featured sliding doors and 4862 ft3 capacity.

They were stretched from NYC 172500-173499 & 179000-179999 box cars originally built by Despatch Shops in 1951-1952.
