P&LE 6900-6999

These 50'-1", 70-ton insulated box cars were built by Despatch Shops (Lot 979) in 3-4/1966. They featured plug doors, cushion underframes and 4620 ft3 capacity. They were assigned to P&LE class Lot 975-B. It is uncertain why the class differs from the Despatch Shops builder's Lot number.
