P&LE 2000-2999				(to P&LE 43000-43104, 43250-43269, 43500-43586; w/ other groups, ca 1961-1965)		

These 52'-6", 70 ton, gondolas were built by NYC Despatch Shops of East Rochester, NY in x/1945. They featured drop ends, steel floors and 1896 ft3 capacity. They were assigned to NYC Lot 744-G.

Many of these cars were modified and renumbered as above mixed with other very similar if not identical cars in 1961-1965 for steel bar service with adjustable bulkheads and three covers.
