These 2-bay, 70-ton, covered hopper cars were built by AC&F (Lot 01-5003) in 10/1957 as CH-29s. They featured 2006 ft3 capacity.

Various members of this group of cars were leased to various railroads and shippers such as AA, ERCX and RSYX over the years, some or all of which were eventually returned to P&LE. Some AA cars were painted in full orange Ann Arbor paint and eventually patched back to P&LE reporting marks and number.
