NYC 890000

	NYC 890000 (to PC/CR 890000)

This 3-bay, 114 ton, covered hopper car was built by NYC Despatch Shops in 6/1966 to a GATC Revised Dry-Flo design and known as a "Flexi-Flator" car of an experimental nature. It originally featured 5800 ft3 capacity, B.F. Goodrich "Granu-Max" inflatable slope sheet system and gravity-pneumatic outlets. Its capacity was reduced over the years to a standard 4700 ft3, presumably with the removal of the inflatable slope sheets and possible installation of traditional fixed slope sheets. It was assigned to class 997H.
