NS 25000-25499
NS 25000-25499 (reblt to pulpwood racks NS 10901-10980)
These 40'-6", 40 ton box cars were built by PS (lot 5513) in 11/1935-01/1936. They featured 3379 ft3 capacity and a 6' door opening. They were possibly assigned to NS class XM-1 or XM-2.
Apparently at least a few cars from this group (maybe others) were repainted into a special Overnight Service scheme with the assigned cities spelled out.
A group of these box cars were rebuilt into pulpwood racks NS 10901-10980, by SIECO in 3/1969.
