NS GP18:
This page is dedicated to the original Norfolk Southern fleet of GP18 roadswitchers. The NS was the owner of 17 GP18 units, all built with low short hoods. When the Southern absorbed the NS, they rebuilt all of the original NS GP18's with high short hoods and repainted and renumbered them into the Southern fleet.
