NC&StL 44000-44499					(to L&N 47000-47499)	

These 50 ton, 42'-0" gondolas were built by PS (Lot 5930) in 4/1949. They featured 1848 ft3 capacity and were assigned to class GB-12.

Ten cars are listed in my January 1954 ORER as having been modified to handle ten (10) demountable containers. Those cars are as follows:

	44069, 44171, 44222, 44266, 44299, 44329, 44345, 44371, 44400 & 44481
