This loco was built in 4-5/1953 with EMD serial number 17993. She was built as a yard switcher, model SW9.

She became IC 1241 in 1967 when the IC purchased the Mississippi Central.

She was rebuilt by ICG Paducah Shops as an SW14 in 1979 and became ICG 1419.
