This loco was built in 4-5/1953 with EMD serial number 17990. She was built as a yard switcher, model SW9.

She became IC 1239 in 1967 when the IC purchased the Mississippi Central.

She was rebuilt by ICG Paducah Shops as an SW14 in 8/1978 and became ICG 1410.
