MP 630
This loco was built in 2/1965 with EMD serial number 29810. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP35.
She was wrecked on 9/17/1973 and rebuilt at North Little Rock shops without her turbocharger, thereby becoming a functional GP38 in a GP35 carbody. She was initially renumbered MP 2007, but was quickly renumbered again to MP 2008. When the MP later began a program to modify a number of its GP35 fleet in such a manner, she was renumbered to MP 2600 and subsequent rebuilt locomotives were numbered in this new series.
