KCS SW7 Locos:
This page is dedicated to KCS's fleet of SW7 switchers. The KCS was the owner of 16 SW7 units.
Some units were apparently built sub-lettered or assigned on paper to the Louisiana and Arkansas subsidiary. It is not known if there were ever any markings on the units to indicate this.
One unit, KCS 1304, was rebuilt as an SW9 due to wreck damage in 4/1953. She was not renumbered and retained her original serial number amended as 13422:2. More background on the incident can be found on her page.
