This loco was built in 1/1956 with EMD serial number 20796. She was built as a road switcher, model GP9.

She was rebuilt by IC's Paducah, KY shops in 5/1968 as IC 8158, model GP10.

She was wrecked and rebuilt again by ICG's Paducah, KY shops in 4/1977 as ICG 8126, model GP10.
