IC 7966
This loco was rebuilt in 9/1968 by IC Paducah Shops as a GP8.
She was built as IC 8966, a GP7, in 3/1953.
It is not known at this time if she was ever relettered for ICG.
It is noted in Extra 2200 South, Issue 93 that this unit (and several other IC GP8s) were subsequently upgraded to GP10. It is assumed that this upgrade did not result in a number change, but more research is surely needed.
