IC 8952

This loco was built in 3/1951 with EMD serial number 14010. She was built as a freight road switcher, model GP7.

She was paired with slug/booster unit IC BU1 (ex SW1 IC 9017) as early as 05/28/1968 through at least 09/12/1976.

She appears to be one of the few (if only?) IC GP7 to be repainted and relettered as an ICG unit prior to being rebuilt.

She was rebuilt in 3/1975 by ICG's Paducah, KY shops as ICG 7952, model GP8.
