The GM&O freight car roster of January 1940 is presented as follows:
Actually, the GM&O railroad was created from the merger of the GM&N and the M&O railroads in 1938, however, the merger was not completed until some time in 1940. Therefore, the January 1940 issue of the ORER gives us a glimpse of the last rosters of both constituents just prior to the merger being implemented. No GM&O cars are listed in this issue, so no new cars had apparently been received and no cars remarked as of yet.
