This loco was rebuilt in 6/1981 from GP9 GA 1042 by SBD Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 19517 but became what SBD referred to as a GP16. She was released in Seaboard System paint.
She became SBD 4975.
She became CSXT 1856.
She was retired from the CSXT roster on 02/18/1993.
