This loco was built in 3/1957 with EMD serial number 22700. She was built as a freight road switcher, model GP9 with a high short hood and no dynamic brakes.

She was retired, sold to IC, rebuilt by Paducah Shops to a GP10 and became IC 8272 in 5/1972.

She became ICG 8272.

She was wrecked on 05/19/1984 and is presumed scrapped.
