This loco was built in 11/1953 with EMD serial number 19016. She was built as a freight road switcher, model GP7 with a high short hood and no dynamic brakes.

She was retired, sold to ICG, rebuilt by Paducah Shops to a GP8 and became ICG 7744 in 7/1976.
