This loco was built in 1/1953 with EMD serial number 16965. She was built as a freight road switcher, model GP7 with a high short hood and no dynamic brakes.

She was retired, sold to ICG, rebuilt by Paducah Shops to a GP8 and became ICG 7994 in 5/1973.
