CRR 5808-5809
CRR 5808-5809 (to CRR 7000-7001)
These 50'-6", 50 ton, box cars were built by PS (Lot 8678) in 3/1962? They featured Hydroframe 60 underframes, 9' doors and 4952 ft3 capacity. It appears that they were originally intended to be numbered CRR 5808-5809, but were diverted to CRR 7000-7001 very early on, possibly due to the fact that they were equipped with cushioned underframes and Clinchfield wanted to group those cars together in the 7000 number series. They were assigned to class FB10C withe the C apparently standing for Cushioned underframe.
