CRR 4606:1
This loco was rebuilt in x/1979 from GP7 ???? by (possibly) ICG Paducah, KY shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number xxxx but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.
Note that this is the 1st locomotive to wear this number. This engine is somewhat of a mystery. From all outward appearances, it looks the same as the six GP16's rebuilt as CRR 4600-4605 by ICG's Paducah, KY shops in 1979. However, all sources show only six units so rebuilt. It is theorized that CRR 4606:1 was wrecked shortly after having been rebuilt and CRR 4606:2 which conforms to the Uceta rebuild appearance, was numbered to replace that unit.
She is presumed to have been wrecked and scrapped late 1979 or very early 1980. More info is certainly needed!
