This loco was built in 8-10/1947 with ALCO serial number 75395. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model RS2.
She became CI&L 56.
She became MON 56.
She was acquired with the Monon in 8/1971 and assigned L&N 265:2, but it was aparently never applied. It is doubtful if she ever worked in revenue service for the L&N.
She was retired on 03/01/1972, sent to GE at some point thereafter and presumed scrapped.
